Technicians Responsibilities:
- CCTV technicians spend the majority of their time installing and maintaining CCTV systems. Additional duties include monitoring equipment, preparing purchasing requests for materials needed for each project and writing daily and monthly reports regarding maintenance work provided.
Requirements:
The qualifications required to become a security system technician include a high school diploma or GED certificate and two years of experience in a related field. You should be able to read blueprints and be trained in access control, alarm and intrusion, and how to install and program various systems.
